A Letter from the Editor

Whether it’s on set, in meetings, or over dinner, I’m always asked the same question: Why Wishlist?

The answer is simpler than it seems: because it’s the one thing we all share. No matter our fashion taste, our quirks, our likes or dislikes—every one of us has a wishlist. A quiet curation of pieces we admire, dream about, or keep tucked away for the right moment.

Mine is usually a beautiful chaos: shorts bookmarked for summer trips, pants I adore but still haven’t found the perfect shirt for, jewelry saved as “future gifts” for friends, or dresses I know will make my mum shine on a special occasion. My wishlists overflow, and at some point, I thought: why not share them with the world?

Around that same time, I was reading The Creative Act: A Way of Being by Rick Rubin, and one line resonated deeply:

“If you have an idea you’re excited about and you don’t bring it to life, it’s not uncommon for the idea to find its voice through another maker. This isn’t because the other artist stole your idea, but because the idea’s time has come.”
—Rick Rubin, The Creative Act: A Way of Being

When the idea of Wishlist Magazine came to me, that quote echoed in my mind. I knew then that I had to bring it to life. It became my passion project.

Wishlist became that space—a home for everything worth pausing for: fashion, art, music, destinations. Pieces that make you look twice, that spark curiosity, that remind you why beauty matters.

Today, Wishlist is more than a platform. It’s a love letter to beauty, a living diary of admiration. It’s about shooting what I love, curating what inspires me, and creating a space that feels both intimate and universal—a reminder that while life can be chaotic, beauty has a way of pulling us back to center.

And if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this: a wishlist isn’t just about wanting. It’s about appreciating—about recognizing what moves us, what excites us, and what makes life more meaningful.

So here’s mine—laid bare, imperfect, always evolving. I hope Wishlist inspires you to start your own, to curate with intention, and to celebrate the things that make your world a little brighter.

Finally, feel free to reach out with your work, your ideas, or even just to say hello. Because Wishlist was never meant to be one-sided—it’s a conversation.

Until the next curation,
